Holistic Wellness

Therapeutic
Approach

At Bethesda, we believe that taking a holistic approach is imperative to successful therapy. We investigate many aspects of our client’s lives, working with their natural support systems, in order to achieve the best possible outcomes.

The First Step

Consultation

Your initial consult with one of our therapists is really our opportunity to introduce ourselves to you and answer any questions you might have, no matter how big or small. This time is not billed.

Finding What Works

Intervention

In your first session(s) with our therapists, we begin by identifying a modality of choice that best fits your unique set of experiences, challenges you’re facing, and presenting concern.

Making Adjustments

Healing

Once we get to know you and you feel comfortable with the treatment goals we have set, we take a thoughtful and caring approach to helping you heal, while refining our process along the way.

“I underestimated how hard it would be working from home, but with the help of my therapist I was able to develop creative ways to remain connected and regulate my mental and emotional health.”

Our Clients

⁕ Working Professionals

We know “adulting” can be difficult. Our clients in this group often deal with stress from home and work demands, recovery from loss, or healing from trauma.

⁕ Traumatized Families

Traumatic events may often affect a whole group of individuals in a family, especially if these individuals are survivors of physical or emotional abuse, sexual violence, addiction, natural disasters, or acts of terror.

⁕ Students & Young Adults

Whether you are in school or out of school, our early adulthood clients can sometimes struggle with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, or issues with self-esteem.

Our approaches to therapy are based on trauma-focused cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, solution-focused, narrative, and cognitive-behavioural models of treatment. We perform intakes, administer relevant assessments, and assist in the development of client goals and individualized treatment plans, within the specifications of these models.
